Role Overview
We are recruiting Senior Factory QA Managers to serve as the primary on-site quality authority at assigned international manufacturing facilities. You will supervise inspection teams, enforce product specifications, and maintain the integrity of the production and acceptance process from raw material intake through to supervised loading. This role requires strong floor-level leadership and the confidence to enforce quality standards without exception. You are the client’s on-site authority — your decisions carry weight and will be backed by management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise shift QC inspectors and specialist inspection staff at the assigned facility
- Enforce production specifications and acceptance criteria on the factory floor
- Verify incoming raw materials against approved specifications
- Approve or reject production batches based on inspection outcomes
- Conduct line audits and verify packing and labelling procedures
- Supervise container loading and seal verification
- Maintain photographic and documentary evidence records
- Train and support local QC team members
- Verify production metrics and escalate deviations to the QA/QC Director
- Conduct and document unannounced shift inspections
Requirements
- 7+ years in factory-based QA management within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Experience managing multi-shift inspection teams
- Familiarity with AQL sampling, dimensional inspection, and batch documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to enforce standards and reject non-conforming product
- Able to operate independently with limited day-to-day oversight
- Comfortable with long-term site-based international deployment
Additional Notes
This role is based in South Africa. Successful candidates will be required to travel to and deploy at international manufacturing sites as directed. Travel, accommodation, and deployment costs are covered by the employer.
Pay: R30 000,00 – R80 000,00 per month
