Senior Data Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This position is well suited to an individual with Advanced Excel skills and proven experience handling and updating tender costings using complex formulas and functions.
In this role, you will play an important part in supporting the tendering process by ensuring the accurate upkeep of cost data, analysing pricing information, and preparing comprehensive reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update tender costing spreadsheets in Excel on a daily basis, ensuring all formulas, calculations, and data remain accurate and consistent.
- Utilise advanced Excel functions, including nested formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables, and macros, to enhance reporting and data analysis processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, verify, and incorporate pricing data into tender costings accurately.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for cost optimisation, delivering actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain standardised costing templates and tools to drive efficiency, consistency, and accuracy across multiple projects.
- Prepare clear, concise reports, summaries, and visual presentations based on analysed data to support tender submission decisions.
- Manage and regularly update databases and repositories containing tender-related information, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Stay up to date with the latest Excel tools, features, and best practices, and share knowledge with team members to promote continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to additional data analysis and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau will be advantageous.
