Senior Business Development Manager – UK Market Jobs in Cape Town at Boomerang Marketing
Boomerang BPO is hiring a commercially strong Senior Business Development Manager to help build, qualify and convert a high-quality UK sales pipeline.
This role is focused on developing new UK opportunities, running structured discovery, assessing client needs, shaping commercially sound solutions, and preparing proposals that are ready for senior-level negotiation.
The successful candidate will play a central role in growing Boomerang’s UK client base, particularly across customer experience, e-commerce, retail, healthcare/pharmacy and other service-led sectors where outsourced customer support can create measurable value.
This is not a junior lead-generation role. It requires someone who can think commercially, engage confidently with senior stakeholders, understand operational delivery models, and translate client needs into credible BPO solutions.
Role Purpose
The Senior Business Development Manager will own the early and mid-stages of the sales cycle, ensuring opportunities are properly qualified, commercially structured, and aligned to Boomerang’s growth objectives.
The role will reduce unnecessary CEO involvement in early-stage sales by ensuring that only well-qualified, commercially viable and proposal-ready opportunities progress to final negotiation.
Key ResponsibilitiesPipeline Development
Identify, develop and manage a high-quality UK sales pipeline in line with Boomerang’s target sectors and growth strategy.
Qualify prospects using clear commercial, operational and strategic criteria.
Maintain disciplined pipeline management through Zoho CRM or equivalent CRM tools.
Track opportunity status, next steps, decision-makers, probability, value and expected close dates.
Discovery and Client Assessment
Lead structured discovery conversations with senior stakeholders.
Understand client pain points, operating models, customer service challenges, cost pressures, technology environment and outsourcing readiness.
Assess whether Boomerang is a strong operational and commercial fit for each opportunity.
Identify decision-makers, influencers, procurement requirements and likely objections early in the sales process.
Solution Design and Commercial Structuring
Work with internal teams to shape solutions around client requirements, including channels, headcount, hours of operation, service levels, quality expectations and ramp timelines.
Develop commercially sound pricing assumptions, including FTE, seat-based, hybrid or open-book models where relevant.
Ensure proposed solutions are practical, profitable and deliverable.
Challenge weak or poorly defined opportunities before they consume senior leadership time.
Proposal and Presentation Development
Create clear, professional and client-ready proposals, presentations and commercial documents.
Translate operational detail into a compelling business case for outsourcing.
Support RFP responses, pricing submissions and client presentations.
Prepare opportunity summaries for CEO-level review and negotiation.
Sales Governance and Reporting
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline reporting and opportunity notes.
Provide regular updates on pipeline value, conversion probability, risks and next actions.
Contribute to improving the sales process, qualification framework, proposal templates and commercial playbook.

Essential Requirements
Proven experience in B2B business development, enterprise sales or consultative sales.
Experience selling into UK or international markets.
Strong discovery, questioning and stakeholder-mapping skills.
Ability to engage confidently with founders, CEOs, COOs, CX leaders, operations leaders and procurement teams.
Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin awareness and deal structuring.
Ability to create clear, persuasive and professional proposals.
Comfortable working with CRM systems such as Zoho, HubSpot or Salesforce.
Confident in a remote, video-led sales environment.
High ownership, strong follow-through and excellent attention to detail.
Able to balance sales ambition with commercial discipline.
Advantageous Experience
Experience in BPO, customer experience, contact centres, outsourcing or professional services.
Understanding of FTE, seat-based or outcome-based pricing models.
Exposure to RFPs, procurement processes or open-book costing models.
Experience selling services to e-commerce, retail, healthcare, fintech or customer-led brands.
Understanding of customer service operations, including voice, email, live chat, social, WhatsApp or back-office support.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is commercially sharp, confident with senior clients, and disciplined enough to qualify opportunities properly rather than chasing every lead.
They should be comfortable opening doors, running discovery, shaping proposals and preparing deals for senior negotiation.
They will enjoy working close to the CEO and leadership team, but must also be independent enough to manage pipeline activity without constant direction.
They should be persuasive, structured, numerate and credible in front of UK decision-makers.
Pay: R1 020 000,00 – R2 750 000,00 per year
