Senior Bookkeeper /Accountant | Australia Hours | Kenya
Talent Match Africa is looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team, supporting an established international business. We are looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of the full finance function, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work independently with minimal supervision.
This is a full-time, office-based night shift position aligned to Australian business hours.

Working Hours
Night Shift: 12:00am to 9:00am (Australia Hours)
Please note that working hours may change slightly throughout the year to align with Australian daylight saving time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full bookkeeping and accounting function across multiple entities.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and efficiently.
- Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journals, accruals, and month-end adjustments.
- Complete month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare management reports including profit and loss statements, cash flow reports, and financial analysis.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Manage payroll and statutory compliance requirements.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors where required.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strong internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or Accountant.
- Advanced experience working with Xero is essential.
- Experience managing the full accounting function across multiple entities.
- Strong month-end, reporting, reconciliation, and financial analysis experience.
- Excellent understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of the finance function.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience supporting international businesses will be advantageous.
- Hospitality or multi-site business experience will be advantageous.

Salary
KES 150,000 to KES 175,000 per month, depending on experience.
