Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Accounts Payable based in New Cairo.
The Senior Accounts Payable will be responsible for managing the accounts payable cycle, processing supplier invoices, contractor and consultant payment certificates, preparing journal entries, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial procedures.
The role requires close coordination with Procurement, Engineering, Projects, Warehouses, and Finance teams to verify contracts, Purchase Orders (POs), Goods Received Notes (GRNs), and supporting documents before processing payments.
The successful candidate will support month-end closing activities, monitor supplier and contractor balances, contribute to cost control initiatives, and ensure accurate financial records across the company’s real estate and construction projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- +7 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Finance.
- Previous experience in Real Estate Development or Construction companies is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and financial controls.
- Experience in reviewing contractors’ and consultants’ payment certificates (IPCs).
- Strong knowledge of procurement cycles, inventory transactions, and warehouse operations.
- Experience in matching invoices against Purchase Orders (POs), Contracts, and Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
- Familiarity with project accounting, cost control procedures, and construction-related financial transactions.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
