ROLE OVERVIEW

The Accounting Manager – PMCM Core Team is a senior, office-based role responsible for financial governance, accounting control, and reporting oversight across multiple PMCM projects in Egypt and overseas. This position does not perform daily site bookkeeping, but provides central control, standardization, and financial assurance to site-based accounting teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Governance & Control

  • Establish and enforce PMCM-wide accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
  • Ensure alignment with PMCM contracts, corporate finance requirements, and applicable accounting standards.
  • Act as the central accounting authority, providing guidance and approvals on key financial matters.
  • Identify financial risks at portfolio level and implement mitigation and control measures.

Project Financial Oversight

  • Oversee project budgets, expenditures, cost allocations, and financial performance across multiple projects.
  • Monitor cash flow, payments, receivables, and financial exposure at consolidated level.
  • Review financial forecasts and support PMCM management with financial analysis and insights.

Reporting, Compliance & Audit

  • Govern preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports from site teams.
  • Coordinate with HQ / regional finance on consolidation, closing, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in all operating countries.
  • Lead and support internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Leadership & Coordination

  • Coordinate with project, commercial, procurement, and contract teams on financial and cost-related matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
  • Provide financial guidance to support PMCM decision-making and governance.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred)
  • 12+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within construction, EPC, or PMCM environments
  • Proven experience in multi-project and/or multi-country financial oversight
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, budgeting, and financial controls
  • Experience managing senior accounting and finance teams
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in accounting systems and MS Office
  • Ability to work in a multicultural, international environment
  • Willingness to travel periodically to project sites and overseas locations
