SUMMARY:
Small-Medium sized Manufacturing / Electrical Engineering concern based in Isando has an opening for a Senior Accountant / Executive. Be responsible for driving financial strategy, operational excellence, risk management and digital systems performance within the company. This includes full oversight of Finance, IT as well as Syspro. Play a critical strategic role in supporting growth, manufacturing efficiency and data-driven decision-making within the Medium Voltage switchgear manufacturing sector. The role partners closely with the CEO, Operations, Engineering, Sales and Supply Chain to ensure financial discipline, cost accuracy and strong governance across the organisation.
POSITION INFO:
Successful incumbent will hold a CA(SA) qualification or CIMA, coupled with a minimum of 10 years financial leadership experience ideally within the Manufacturing / Electrical Engineering or Industrial Products sector is essential. Solid Syspro experience highly advantageous. Track record managing IT strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure or ERP-driven process improvements; deep experience in cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and operational finance. The role requires a strategic thinker with operation and commercial insight; advanced skills in cost accounting and manufacturing finance; and a strong understanding of IT governance, digital systems and data management. A strategic thinker with operational and commercial insight, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; high integrity with a commitment to robust governance; excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a technical, engineering-heavy environment and change management and digital transformation competency.
