Our international and global clearing and forwarding client is on the hunt for a Forwarding Manager to focus on sea freight.
Join a competitive player within the market managing their sea freight forwarding team.
This team consists of senior, high performing Controllers who handle large volumes of forwarding shipments.
Duties:
- Rate and proposal implementation and maintenance.
- Understanding of international currencies.
- Customs and other statutory parastatals cargo clearance. procedure.
- The ability to organise a team effectively and efficiently.
- Execution of functional business objectives and strategies.
- International Trade principles and procedures.
- Financial acumen. Change management ambassadors.
- Managing and resolving conflict.
- Assertiveness, initiative, proactive, independence, integrity and diplomacy.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- 3-year freight forwarding-related qualification at NQF level 6.
- 10 years Seafreight experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry of which 5 years were in a supervisory capacity.
- INCO Terms.
- Process knowledge on the movement of goods throughout the supply chain.
- Basic international trade principles. Container. understanding/usage.
