The Scale Verification Officer is responsible for performing on-site calibration, verification, and certification of weighing equipment in accordance with SANAS, NRCS, and relevant regulatory standards. This full-time, on-site role based in Johannesburg involves visiting client facilities, conducting technical inspections, performing tests, documenting results, and preparing verification reports and certificates.
The role includes troubleshooting and minor repairs on scales, ensuring accurate measurements, and advising clients on proper use, maintenance, and compliance requirements. The position also requires maintaining detailed records, supporting audits, and contributing to continuous improvement of service processes and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Technical skills in calibration and verification of weighing equipment, including understanding of industrial scales, measurement principles, and basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
- NRCS Verification Officer – Non Negotiable
- Ability to work independently on-site, manage schedules, and adapt to varied industrial environments while following health and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in industrial services, weighing systems, or field-based technical roles is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license
