Sales Team Leader – Cape Town
Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Sales Team Leader to lead, develop, and scale a high-performing sales team in Cape Town.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and is passionate about coaching, performance management, and driving consistent revenue growth.
You will be responsible not only for delivering your own results but also for elevating team performance, instilling best practices, and ensuring the sales team consistently exceeds targets.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Representatives to consistently achieve and exceed individual and team targets
- Drive a high-performance culture through daily motivation, structured coaching, and accountability
- Monitor and manage team pipelines, ensuring leads are effectively progressed through the sales funnel
- Conduct regular 1:1s, call reviews, and performance evaluations to improve conversion rates and sales quality
- Support the team in handling complex objections and closing high-value opportunities
- Ensure consistent and accurate CRM usage, maintaining high standards of data integrity and reporting
- Work closely with senior leadership to implement and refine sales strategies, processes, and KPIs
- Identify training needs and deliver ongoing development to continuously improve team capability
- Maintain a strong personal sales contribution when required, leading from the front
- Foster a positive, competitive, and collaborative team environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in a sales leadership or senior sales role (ideally within fintech, financial services, or a high-volume B2B sales environment)
- Strong track record of consistently hitting and exceeding sales targets, both individually and as a team leader
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and scale high-performing sales teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and resilient under pressure
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to track performance and optimise results
- Experience using CRM systems and managing pipeline data effectively
- Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, processes, and sales strategies
- Experience in a call centre or high-volume outbound sales environment is highly advantageous
- Strong leadership presence with a hands-on, “lead from the front” mentality
Salary & Benefits
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): R40,000 – R45,000 per month
