Position Overview

Based at Port Elizabeth Branch, in order to further strengthen our local Sales team, we are currently seeking a Sales Representative (Port Elizabeth, South Africa). Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Achieving assigned personal sales target.
  • Executing sales tasks in assigned channel in accordance with the Artisan Sales Strategy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain & develop customer relationships.
  • Deliver sales targets for the channel in the assigned area.
  • Explore new sales potential via new customers and new SKUs per customer.
  • Collect market information including competition information, analyze and submit to direct supervisor.
  • Deal with issues related to customers and search for optimal solutions.
  • Collaborate with Technical Dept to provide technical support to customers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Dept in customer events: demo tours, seminars, new product launches.
  • Coordinate with other departments for order processing, information processing, and customer requests.
  • Make sales forecast and be responsible for accuracy.
  • Be responsible for debt, late payment or bad debt from customers.
  • Assist and coordinate with the Sales Manager for planning and actions to develop market share in the assigned area.
  • Perform regular sales and market reports as required by direct supervisor.
  • Other tasks assigned by manager.

Profile

  • Matric and Diploma:
    Sales/Marketing.
  • Experience:

    3-5 years in Sales, B2B preferable, Food sector (FMCG) preferable.

  • Languages:

    English, Afrikaans, Zulu advantageous.

  • Computer literacy:
    Office programs (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Other expertise:
    Business & result driven, presentation skill, strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish contacts, sales and negotiation skills, team player.
