About the Role
HJM Offroad is seeking a driven and energetic Sales Representative to join our Randburg, Johannesburg branch. We are a specialist 4×4 fitment centre supplying and installing premium off-road accessories and vehicle upgrade solutions for private, commercial, farming, safari, and overlanding clients.
This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys a technical product environment, is passionate about vehicles and the off-road industry, and is motivated by targets and commission-based growth.
You will be responsible for generating new business, managing customer relationships, and driving sales of 4×4 accessories and vehicle fitment solutions. This includes handling walk-in customers, following up on leads, and proactively building a strong client base through outreach and networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new sales opportunities through cold calling, referrals, walk-ins, and digital leads
- Manage and follow up on all customer enquiries and quotations
- Sell and promote 4×4 accessories including suspension systems, bull bars, roof racks, recovery gear, canopies, and vehicle upgrades
- Build long-term relationships with retail, fleet, farming, safari, and commercial clients
- Prepare accurate quotations and close sales effectively
- Achieve monthly sales and gross profit targets
- Maintain CRM records and ensure all customer interactions are updated
- Work closely with the workshop and fitment teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Support business growth through self-generated leads and active industry engagement
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- 2–3 years sales experience (automotive, technical, or retail sales preferred)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, email, CRM systems)
- Valid driver’s license
- Passion for 4×4 vehicles and the outdoor/off-road lifestyle
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
