About the Role:
This role is responsible for deeply understanding each customer’s business goals, operational priorities, and growth opportunities, and leveraging that insight to position the Company and the company''''''''s product solutions as essential to their success.
Through expert product knowledge proactive solution selling, and consistent customer engagement, the Wholesale Sales Consultant will drive sustainable sales growth, unlock new business opportunities, and strengthen the company competitive advantage in the wholesale channel.
Qualification Requirements
- Matric
- A valid driver’s Licence and own vehicle are required
- Min 5 years experience in sales, specifically wholesale (advantage if in the same trade)
- Excellent MS Excel and mathematical skills
- Travelling is an inherent requirement of the job.
- The successful candidate must travel and stay overnight when required
- Operational requirements may necessitate working overtime from time to time, as well as every second Saturday, and or when required for customer events, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities
Account Management & Business Development
- Manage, grow, and retain a portfolio of wholesale accounts within the inland region to maximize sales and market penetration.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities by actively prospecting and expanding the company
Footprint In The Wholesale Channel.
- Conduct strategic account planning to ensure long-term growth, increased product adoption, and sustained customer loyalty.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through effective pipeline management and solution-based selling.
- Present and position the company and company product solutions in a way that addresses customer needs and drives purchasing decisions.
- Leverage deep product knowledge to recommend tailored lighting solutions, electrical, etc., ensuring optimal product mix and margin growth.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key decision makers, influencers, and stakeholders within each account.
- Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, and feedback sessions to strengthen partnerships and identify growth opportunities.
- Provide exceptional customer service and follow-through to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer shifts to identify risks and opportunities within the wholesale channel.
- Provide feedback to internal teams regarding customer insights, market needs, and product performance to support business strategy and product development.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of sales activities, forecasts, and account information using CRM tools.
- Ensure all pricing, quotations, product proposals, and agreements comply with company policies and deliver commercial value.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Marketing, Product Managers, Logistics, and Internal Sales, to ensure seamless order execution and exceptional service delivery.
- Promote new products, campaigns, and promotions to drive visibility and accelerate product movement within allocated accounts.
