Job Summary
A Cannabis store is seeking a reliable, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cannabis products, provide excellent customer service, and ensure the store operates smoothly and professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide accurate product information and recommendations
- Deliver a positive and welcoming in-store experience
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback effectively
Sales & Product Knowledge
- Maintain strong knowledge of cannabis products (flower, edibles, accessories, etc.)
- Upsell and cross-sell products where appropriate
- Stay updated on new products, promotions, and specials
Store Operations
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked, clean, and well-organized
- Monitor product displays to maximize visual appeal and sales
- Assist with stock receiving, counting, and inventory control
- Ensure accurate ringing up of products at point of sale
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all legal and company regulations regarding cannabis sales
- Verify customer age and eligibility where required
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism
Teamwork & Responsibility
- Work collaboratively with team members
- Assist colleagues when needed
- Take ownership of tasks and responsibilities
- Report any issues or discrepancies to management
Requirements
- Previous retail experience (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of cannabis products (advantageous)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Honest, reliable, and punctual
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Pay: Up to R5 000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kempton Park, Gauteng 1632: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Cannabis retail knowledge : 1 year (Required)
Willingness to travel:
- 25% (Preferred)
