Sales/Branch Manager – Cape Town & Surrounding Areas
Our client is a supplier of food ingredients and chemical raw materials, servicing industries including food & beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, and industrial manufacturing.
Remuneration
- Basic Salary: R70,000 – R100,000 per month
- Petrol & Car Allowance
- Lucrative Performance-based commission structure
Minimum Requirements
- 5–8 years sales experience in:
- Food ingredients; OR
- Fruit / fresh produce / agri-related products OR
- Food Chemical distribution.
- Proven track record in business development and account growth
- Strong Western Cape network, particularly:
- Food manufacturers
- Fruit exporters / packhouses / processors
- Relevant qualification (advantageous)
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy (Western Cape)
- Identify and secure new business opportunities
- Grow and manage existing key accounts
- Achieve sales targets and margin objectives
- Conduct client visits, product presentations, and solution selling
- Build relationships with manufacturers, packers, and produce processors
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and product demand
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline, and reporting

- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Technical understanding of ingredients / food applications / agri inputs
- Excellent relationship-building ability
- Self-driven and results-focused
- Self-starter to manage and new branch
- Established sales professional in chemicals / food ingredients / fresh produce
- Strong footprint in Cape Town manufacturing and agricultural sectors
- Proven ability to sell into fruit processors, exporters, and food producers
- Comfortable operating in a growth-focused, entrepreneurial environment
· Drive sales growth in the Western Cape, with a strong focus on developing business within the food, beverage, and fresh fruit produce sectors, as well as managing key accounts.
