We are looking for a Sales Representative for our Sales Floor. You will also be responsible for helping in retail sales and stocking products throughout the store. This is an hourly + commission position.
Responsibilities include:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Assist customers with their project by offering helpful advice
- Acknowledge customers and inquiring about customer’s project or problem and providing a solution.
- Communicating professionally in person and by phone
- Develop ongoing and new, relationships with customers
- Maintain a professional image of the company
- Emphasizing product/service features and benefits of Bernard Building Center
- Helping our buyers to develop, and learning about new products when possible
- Building and fostering a network of referrals to create new opportunities for sales growth
- Following up with customers regarding potential projects
- Actively managing your schedule and time to adequately service our customers
- Assist in other departments or with other job duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Proficiency in retail sales and ability to conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits to customers
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Experience with cash registers and POS systems
- Prior experience in customer service, upselling, and merchandising in a retail environment
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain a tidy and appealing sales floor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
