A renowned private game reserve is seeking a commercially sharp and analytically driven SALES & REVENUE ANALYST to join their Sales & Marketing division at their Pretoria head office.
This is a structured, data-led role suited to a detail-oriented professional who can translate numbers into clear commercial insight. Someone equally comfortable building Excel models as they are presenting findings to senior leadership. Prior exposure to OTA or online distribution channel management will be a distinct advantage.
Core Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in financial analysis, revenue analysis, or commercial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (non-negotiable)
- Proven ability to build financial models, forecasts, and performance dashboards
- Strong numerical reasoning and analytical capability
- Experience managing OTAs or online distribution channels advantageous
- Commercially aware, process-driven, and highly detail-oriented
- Able to interpret complex data and communicate conclusions clearly to senior stakeholders
- Independent, accountable, and confident engaging across all levels of the business
Core Responsibilities:
- Analyse revenue performance across source markets, lodges, segments, agents, and distribution channels
- Monitor booking pace, occupancy trends, pick-up patterns, and seasonality
- Provide forward-looking revenue forecasts based on pipeline and historical data
- Produce monthly commercial performance reports covering revenue vs target, market contribution, account production, and pipeline risk
- Identify underperforming markets and accounts and recommend corrective action
- Manage all OTA platforms- including rate loading, parity checks, and performance monitoring
- Evaluate channel profitability and identify margin erosion risks
- Maintain CRM and reservation data accuracy across multiple systems
- Build and improve reporting efficiency through automation and Excel modelling
- Support the Head of Sales & Marketing in setting data-driven targets
