The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and enforcing the Company’s safety programs and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety regulations and policies. This position oversees day-to-day safety activities, conducts training and inspections, investigates incidents, and works closely with employees and management to maintain a safe work environment. The Safety Supervisor promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday Through Friday. Weekly Pay with benefits
Job Description:
- Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with Company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine workplace, terminal, yard, and vehicle safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety programs and initiatives.
- Conduct employee safety orientations and ongoing safety training programs.
- Observe work practices and coach employees on safe operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, property damage incidents, and near-miss events; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, training logs, and incident documentation.
- Manage all FMCSA requirements for our open-deck drivers, including Hours of Service (HOS), Driver Qualification (DQ) files, and Vehicle Maintenance logs.
- Assist in administering the Company’s drug and alcohol testing programs, including post-accident and reasonable suspicion procedures.
- Participate in accident review meetings and safety committee meetings.
- Track and report safety performance metrics and trends.
- Follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely completion.
- Respond promptly to safety concerns raised by employees or management.
- Assist with regulatory audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with supervisors and department managers to address safety issues and improve operational practices.
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
Experience:
- 3PL Logistics: 3 years (Preferred)
- Trucking Transportation : 3 years (Preferred)
- compliance FMCSA, OSHA, : 3 years (Preferred)
- vehicle maintenance, and driver qualification requirements: 3 years (Preferred)
- DOT Compliance : 3 years (Preferred)
- Reporting, investigations: 3 years (Preferred)
