We are looking for an experienced Rotating Supervisor to ensure technical and operational excellence for all rotating machinery at the Afungi site.
🔍 THE ROLE
Reporting to the Rotating Lead, you will be responsible for the installation, inspection, and pre-commissioning readiness of all rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, gas turbines, and generators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Supervision: Maintain a strong site presence to oversee equipment positioning, leveling, grouting, and final alignment.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise soft-foot corrections, bolt torquing, lubrication system readiness, and vibration acceptance checks.
- Quality & Integrity: Conduct routine inspections according to approved ITPs, follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and validate Mechanical Completion (MC) dossiers.
- Interface Management: Coordinate daily with Civil, Piping, E&I, and Commissioning teams to resolve technical clashes and ensure a clean handover.
- HSE Leadership: Enforce a zero-incident culture, ensuring strict compliance with lifting plans, permit-to-work (PTW) systems, and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
🎓 YOUR PROFILE
- Education: Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in rotating machinery installation and supervision on major Oil & Gas or LNG megaprojects.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in compressors, turbines, and generators, with a proven track record in field alignment and vendor management.
- Soft Skills: Strong safety leadership, a QA/QC mindset, and the ability to thrive in a multicultural team environment.
- Languages: Fluent in English (required). Proficiency in Portuguese or French is a distinct advantage.
