Our client is looking for an experienced, safety-conscious Rope Access Technician to join their growing team. This position is ideal for a mature and reliable professional with proven rope access experience, a strong commitment to health and safety, and the ability to work confidently successful candidate will work on a variety of projects across South Africa, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out rope access work safely and efficiently on a variety of structures and project sites
- Conduct pre-task risk assessments and identify potential hazards before commencing work
- Inspect, maintain, and correctly use rope access equipment in accordance with industry standards
- Perform inspections, maintenance, installations, and repairs as required
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and health and safety regulations
- Report safety concerns, incidents, and equipment defects promptly
- Complete accurate job documentation and site reports
- Work effectively with site teams while promoting a strong safety culture
- Travel to project sites across South Africa as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Rope Access Certification (Level 1, 2, or
3), with higher-level certification being advantageous - Previous experience in high-level rope access environments
- Strong understanding of risk assessments, hazard identification, and safe work practices
- Physically and medically fit to work at heights
- Valid driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required
- Mature, dependable, and professional with sound decision-making abilities
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards
