Come work in the beautiful mountain village of Lava Hot Springs with us! Mountain Mayhem Adventure Rentals is hiring summer sales positions for our retail stores, adventure rental centers, and river shuttles in Lava Hot Springs. We’re looking for energetic, cheerful, and organized sales associates. These are fun, fast paced jobs and we are interested in individuals who work hard, have great communication skills, a happy attitude, and can step into different roles if needed. Must be available weekends and holidays and fill in occasionally. The schedule is typically Wednesday to Saturday or Saturday to Tuesday and hours are 10-8 and 10-9 Friday-Saturday with some overtime available. Wage is based off experience and sales abilities starting at $15.00 + Tips. Pay raises or profit sharing bonuses are possible each year based on sales. If you’re good at sales and helping customers, you can make significantly more in tips! A gas allowance is available for individuals driving their own vehicle outside of the Lava Hot Springs area if you live 30 miles or more from Lava Hot Springs.
Positions available are full time from mid-May to late September. Some positions may be extended year round. The retail store positions involve sales, customer service, cashiering, pricing inventory, answering calls for reservations, as well as some work in our rental program with river tubes, ATV’s, scooters, and mountain bikes.
The outdoor adventure rental positions involve sales, customers service, cashiering, repairing rental tubes for the river, maintaining rental equipment, training customers on proper and safe use of rental gear, occasionally pricing inventory and answering calls for reservations. These jobs are located outdoors.
The river shuttle positions involve operating a pickup truck with a 20ft flatbed trailer carrying customers from the end of the river tubing section to the beginning of the run. Must become proficient at operating a truck and trailer with passengers in congested traffic. Other skills include hooking up, backing up, maneuvering, and parking a truck and trailer. We do train these skills if you’re not familiar. Applicants must also have a clean driving record and current license. Safe driving habits and constant attention to surroundings around the shuttle and the passengers is a must. We shuttle for other rental companies as well so employees must be very consistent and show up on time.
