This role plays a vital part in minimizing risk, preventing stock losses, and ensuring a positive customer experience at store exit and checkout areas.
Key Responsibilities
The successful incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Checking customer invoices against merchandise before stock leaves the store
- Monitoring stock movement at the checkout and exit points
- Assist in minimizing stock losses and identify potential risk situations
- Greeting customers professionally when entering and leaving the store
- Identifying suspicious or irregular activity
- Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly checkout and exit area
- Following company risk and security procedures at all times
- Supporting store staff and management when and where operationally required
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum of 1 year work experience in a similar role (Retail Risk Control, Loss Control, or Checkpoint Security advantageous)
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to remain alert at all times
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
