Job Advert Summary

Provide high quality and measurable risk and associated marketing, training and awareness products for defined clients within SAM Division.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12)
• National Diploma in Management of Training (Human Resource Development/Management) and or SHEQ management
• 3 Years’ experience in the field of OH&S and legislative training or facilitation
• Facilitator, Assessor, Moderator, and Skills Development Facilitator
• Knowledge of the OHS Act and Associated regulations, Disaster Management Act, NKP Act, Water Services Act and risk management and NQF
• SAMTRAC/MSM
• Registration with any SETA as Assessor/Moderator is an advantage
• NKP Instructor is an advantage
• Code 08 driver’s licence

Successful completion of one of Rand water’s senior internal management development programmes will be an advantage

Primary Duties

• Develop risk awareness and training strategy, business plan in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, SHEQ incident statistics and the relevant legislation
• Assessing SHEQ training needs and recommending appropriate training to management
• Develop awareness/campaigns plan for SAM employees and Contractors and provide information sessions as and when required
• Provide advice to project/site team with any legislative training related matters
• Annual updating of sectional training matrix/plan with line manager(s)
• Conduct all internal awareness SHEQ training/workshops
• Research, develop, design, implement and maintain risk awareness, training and communication tools
• Design and co-ordinate the implementation of a formal SHEQ programme for SAM Division
• To provide customer and stakeholder feedback on a quarterly basis
• Arrange & co-ordinate legislative & SHE training in accordance with the training matrix/plan.
• Manage external Training Service Providers
• Verifying accreditations and registration of service providers from the SETAs websites
• Maintaining training records and register(s)
• Provide reports and statistics to management
• Budgeting and meeting financial objectives
• Effective administration providing immediate access to important information
• To ensure the management and reporting on all claim related incidents
