About the Role

The Retail Sales Assistant supports daily store operations, provides helpful service to customers, and contributes to achieving sales goals. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in retail who enjoys interacting with people and learning in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and offer assistance with product selection

• Provide accurate information about products, promotions, and stock availability

• Maintain clean, organised, and well‑presented store displays

• Assist with stock handling, replenishment, and basic inventory checks

• Process customer purchases and returns using point‑of‑sale systems

• Support the team in meeting store sales targets and customer service standards

• Help identify customer needs and suggest suitable products

• Follow company procedures to ensure a safe and positive shopping environment

Required Qualifications

• Completed high school education (or equivalent)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to learn and follow guidance

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays

• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks
