Role Description



The Retail Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of the Inga Africa store, ensuring a premium customer experience that reflects the brand’s luxury positioning. The role spans physical retail, e-commerce performance, merchandising, and operational efficiency to drive sales and brand growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations & Management

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient running of the retail environment
  • Manage store staff, including scheduling, training, performance management, and motivation
  • Maintain high standards of customer service aligned with luxury retail expectations
  • Ensure store compliance with company policies, procedures, and security standards

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive in-store and online sales to meet and exceed monthly targets
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and implement strategies to improve conversion
  • Manage upselling and cross-selling initiatives to increase basket size

3. E-commerce Management

  • Oversee the online store, ensuring product availability, accurate listings, and pricing
  • Manage order fulfillment, delivery coordination, and returns process
  • Work with marketing to optimize online campaigns, promotions, and product launches
  • Track online performance metrics (traffic, conversion, AOV) and optimize accordingly

4. Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience

  • Execute and maintain premium visual merchandising standards in-store
  • Ensure product displays reflect the brand’s luxury aesthetic and storytelling
  • Collaborate with creative teams on seasonal displays and new collection launches

5. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and replenishment to avoid stock-outs or overstocking
  • Conduct regular stock takes and reconcile discrepancies
  • Monitor product performance and recommend reorders or markdowns

6. Customer Experience & CRM

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including VIP clients
  • Manage customer database and implement retention strategies
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and after-sales service professionally

7. Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales, operations, and performance
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve store and e-commerce performance
  • Track KPIs including sales per square meter, conversion rate, and stock turnover

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in retail operations, preferably in fashion or luxury retail
  • Proven experience managing both physical store and e-commerce operations
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Solid understanding of retail KPIs and sales analytics
  • Experience with POS systems and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify)
  • Strong visual merchandising skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
