Job Title: Retail Floor Manager
Job Purpose:To oversee daily store floor operations, ensure excellent customer service, manage staff performance, and drive sales while maintaining store standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations
- Manage day-to-day activities on the shop floor
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Monitor opening and closing procedures
- Ensure all systems (POS, pricing, stock control) are functioning correctly
2. Customer Service
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally
- Ensure all customers are assisted promptly
- Monitor staff interaction with customers and improve service levels
3. Staff Management
- Supervise, train, and motivate floor staff
- Manage staff schedules and attendance
- Enforce discipline and company policies
- Conduct performance reviews and give feedback
- Identify underperformance and take corrective action
4. Sales & Performance
- Drive sales targets and upselling initiatives
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance
- Implement promotions and merchandising strategies
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue
5. Stock Control
- Oversee stock receiving, pricing, and merchandising
- Ensure accurate stock levels and minimize losses
- Monitor high-value and secondhand goods processes
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements (e.g., customer ID recording for secondhand goods)
6. Security & Compliance
- Ensure store security procedures are followed
- Monitor for theft, fraud, or policy breaches
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- Assist with internal investigations if required
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years retail management or supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good understanding of retail operations and sales
- Ability to handle conflict and make decisions under pressure
- Basic computer skills (POS systems, reporting)

Job Type: Temp to perm
Pay: R8 000,00 – R10 000,00 per month
