Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases using Point of Sale (POS) systems with speed and accuracy.
- Handle cash, card, and electronic transactions in accordance with store procedures.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions at the end of shifts.
- Provide friendly and professional service during the checkout process.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier workstation.
- Assist customers with basic queries while ensuring efficient service.
- Follow store policies relating to financial handling, fraud prevention, and security procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is advantageous.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work retail trading hours including weekends and public holidays.
- Valid South African ID or legal authorization to work in South Africa.
- Willingness to undergo background checks where required for cash-handling roles.
