Retail Branch Manager – AA/EE Candidate

Location: George, Western Cape

A leading national retail company is seeking an experienced and driven Retail Branch Manager to lead operations at its George branch. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong retail management experience, a passion for customer service excellence, and the ability to drive team performance while ensuring operational efficiency.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain exceptional customer service standards
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the store team to achieve performance targets
  • Oversee training and development of staff to build a high-performing team
  • Drive community engagement and brand presence within the local area
  • Ensure financial performance through effective cost control and sales growth
  • Manage administrative functions and reporting
  • Maintain store presentation and merchandising standards
  • Demonstrate a strong merchant mindset to optimize product offering and sales opportunities
  • Ensure the protection of company assets and adherence to operational policies

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ in-store retail sales experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ Store/Branch Management experience
  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
  • Proven track record in shrinkage control, expense management, budgeting, and customer service delivery
  • IR experience will be advantageous
  • Experience managing a team of approximately 20–25 staff members
  • Computer literate (Outlook, MS Word, Excel) with strong numerical skills and exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Target-driven with strong leadership abilities
  • Valid driver’s licence
