JOB OVERVIEW
The Retail Associate is responsible for supporting customers throughout their in-store experience, driving sales, managing transactions, and maintaining the high visual and operational standards synonymous with the Alára brand.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome and engage customers in a warm and professional manner.
- Support and follow up on sales leads to drive conversions.
- Assist in merchandising the store in line with Alára brand guidelines.
- Deliver a high standard of customer satisfaction through attentive and personalised service.
- Understand and respond to customer needs, offering informed product recommendations.
- Accurately communicate product features and benefits to customers.
- Manage point-of-sale transactions and perform daily opening and closing store procedures.
- Maintain an updated record of customer data and purchase history.
- Upsell and cross-sell products based on customer preferences.
- Reconcile sales records with the Accountant and Inventory Teams.
- Ensure the shop floor remains clean, tidy, and visually appealing at all times.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- BSc/HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar retail or customer-facing position.
- Knowledge of consumer spending trends and buying patterns.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and point-of-sale software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Strong time management and analytical skills.
- Passionate about fashion, design, art, and culture.
- Professional in attitude and appearance with a friendly, detail-oriented personality.
Remuneration: Competitive with other bonuses attached.
