We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. This is a management position requiring a highly motivated individual with proven restaurant management experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and smooth operation of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day restaurant operations.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate restaurant staff, including waiters, kitchen staff, supervisors, and cashiers.
  • Prepare and manage staff work schedules and rosters.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop employees to maintain high service standards.
  • Conduct regular staff performance reviews and disciplinary procedures where necessary.
  • Monitor customer service standards and ensure an outstanding guest experience.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Manage stock control, stock counts, stock ordering, and inventory management.
  • Control food and beverage costs and minimize wastage.
  • Develop and implement promotions, marketing initiatives, and customer loyalty programs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, hygiene, and occupational health regulations.
  • Monitor cash handling procedures, daily reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate where appropriate.
  • Analyze sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Ensure restaurant presentation, cleanliness, and maintenance standards are consistently maintained.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide feedback to senior management.
  • Drive a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellent customer service.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ proven experience managing a restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, stock control, and food service management.
  • Experience with staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs, and profitability.
  • Computer literacy and experience with restaurant POS systems.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and results-driven.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hospitality Management qualification or similar.
  • Experience in high-volume restaurant operations.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
