We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on Restaurant General Manager (GM) to lead our team, drive financial success, and champion our brand’s vision.
The Role: What You’ll Do
As the General Manager, you are the captain of the ship. You will oversee all day-to-day operations, balancing front-of-house (FOH) hospitality with back-of-house (BOH) efficiency, while maintaining a laser focus on profitability and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Inspire: Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule a high-performing team. Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating work environment.
- Drive Financial Success: Manage P&L, labor costs, and food/beverage costs. Implement strategic initiatives to increase revenue and maximize profitability.
- Guest Experience: Ensure every guest receives world-class service. Handle feedback gracefully and use it to continuously improve operations.
- Maintain Standards: Uphold strict health, safety, and food hygiene standards. Ensure the restaurant’s physical plant is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Vendor & Inventory Management: Oversee ordering, inventory counts, and relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost control.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager in a high-volume environment.
- Leadership Style: A natural leader who leads by example, stays calm under pressure, and knows how to coach a team to success.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of restaurant economics, P&L management, and inventory tracking systems.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with modern POS systems (e.g., GAAP), Dine Plan and Excel.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: R28 000,00 – R35 000,00 per month
