Position Summary
The Installer is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient installation of glass, doors, and related products across residential, commercial, and industrial job sites. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Field Work
- Install glass, windows, doors, frames, hardware, and related systems
- Measure, cut, and fit glass to specifications
- Apply sealants and ensure proper sealing against air and water intrusion
- Review project scope, drawings, and materials prior to job start
- Determine efficient repair or replacement methods
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards
Job Site Management
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Ensure materials and tools are ready to meet daily goals
- Document daily progress with reports and photos
- Communicate job status, issues, and needs to Field Manager
- Report damaged or missing materials promptly
Customer & Team Communication
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site
- Address concerns and ensure customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with field managers, glaziers, and other trades
- Promote a positive and productive work environment
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Report accidents, incidents, and hazards immediately
- Work safely in various environments, including heights and weather conditions
Warehouse & Logistics Support
- Load, secure, and transport materials to job sites
- Unload deliveries and verify materials against purchase orders
- Maintain inventory and stock materials as needed
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (if certified)
- Perform daily vehicle inspections (DOT checks)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and twisting
- Ability to work at heights and climb ladders
- Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
- Exposure to noise, machinery, glass, and construction-related hazards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in glass, door installation, or construction (preferred, not required)
- Carpentry experience is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Additionally
- Certifications related to construction, safety, or equipment operation are a plus
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Pay: $16.00 – $26.00 per hour
