Function Nursing Facility Position Residential Healthcare Worker Introduction
A vacancy exists for a Residential Healthcare Worker
, based at Life Nkanyisa Lorraine Frail Care Centre
, reporting to Marilyn Roberts Health Centre Manager. The successful candidates will contribute towards the effective functioning of the unit and ensure quality nursing care to all patients.
Critical Outputs
Patient Care:
Implementing quality health, safety and infection control standards.
Contribute towards accurate record keeping by reporting any changes in patients’ physical condition.
Grooming, physical, psychological, all ADL of Patients
Assistance to the senior MDT
Ensure Rehabilitation by assisting the Rehabilitation teams.
Attending and participating in review and ward meetings in order to ensure conformance to QMS audit standards
Adhere to Kabusha principles
Health
Education:
Participate in health education or learning programmes for the patients, families, communication and staff.
Participate and attend in-service training.
Material and Human Resource:
Performing, understanding and complying with the company infection control standards in order to adhere to PPE standards and procedures
Adhering to safety measures
Manage ward stock, accurate inventory and determine material needs.
Working flexible hours in order to minimize agency costs and show willingness to assist other departments
Requirements
Grade 12/Matric
Relevant Homebased/Healthcare worker certificate
1 year experience
