Position Summary

The Registered Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for diagnostic imaging sonographic scanning.

Required

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Licensure)

  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO)
  • Professional Liability Insurance

Preferred

  • Current registration with Sonography Canada
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience in performing ECGS & Holter Monitors
  • Radiography qualifications

COMPETENCIES/TECHNICAL

  • Knowledge and proficiency in quality imaging
  • Knowledge and proficiency in equipment QC requirements
  • Knowledge and proficiency in general ultrasonography examinations
  • Knowledge and proficiency in infant and pediatric procedures
  • Knowledge and proficiency in ultrasound probe disinfection
  • Proficiency in computer software applications: Microsoft Platform, Meditech
  • Community Wide Scheduler, PACS, Learning Management System
