POSITION TITLE: Registered Nurse
LOCATION OF VACANCY: Val De Vie- Paarl
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide health care to residents at Evergreen. Provides skilled, professional, comprehensive nursing and person-centred care as prescribed by medical practitioners and in compliance with regulations of the South African Nursing Council, and the policies of Evergreen Health; taking accountability for their SANC scope of practice.
MINIMUM CRITERIA
· Grade 12
· Registration/Certificates:
- SANC Registered staff (RN) Degree or Diploma / (EN / ENA)
- Diploma Care Workers – HW Accredited Home-Based Care Certification
· Previous experience within a hospital / Sub-Acute facility
· Experience in Geriatric Care will be advantageous.
REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
· Works directly under the supervision of a Unit Manager
· Work within the Nursing process to provide direct Nursing Care to assigned patients
· Direct patient care within his/her scope of practice
· Function as part of the team
· Complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
· Oral and written communications skills.
· Planning, organizational, leading and control skills.
· Provide the highest patient care
· Area and scope of Practice
