Our client is a fast-growing investment platform focused on delivering a premium, human-led investing experience for affluent and self-directed investors. They are looking for a commercially driven Regional Director to establish and lead their Cape Town presence, with a clear focus on driving Assets Under Management (AUM) growth through high-trust relationship building, strategic partnerships, and client conversion.

Job Description:

This is a senior, execution-led role suited to someone who thrives in relationship-driven environments and understands how to build credibility within affluent and professional networks. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company’s regional footprint while acting as the face of the business in the Western Cape market. The role is highly commercial and outcome-focused, with success measured primarily by AUM growth rather than account volume.

Your daily adventures include:

Client Acquisition & AUM Growth

  • Drive regional Assets Under Management (AUM) growth through strategic client acquisition and relationship management
  • Engage directly with affluent investors, professionals, and serious DIY investors through a high-touch, consultative approach
  • Convert qualified prospects into active investors through trusted relationship-based selling
  • Re-engage dormant or existing demand pipelines and drive activation opportunities
  • Build long-term relationships with high-value clients to increase retention and wallet share

Strategic Partnerships

  • Develop and grow strategic partnerships that provide access to qualified investor networks and high-value client pools
  • Identify and establish relationships with professional communities, business networks, intermediaries, and referral channels
  • Build scalable partnership frameworks focused on quality, trust, and long-term value creation
  • Represent the business within relevant local ecosystems and industry communities

Regional Leadership & Execution

  • Establish and lead the company’s commercial presence in Cape Town
  • Build operational momentum and local market credibility through strong on-the-ground execution
  • Lead and scale a small local sales capability as the business grows
  • Implement clear performance targets, accountability structures, and sales discipline
  • Drive a strong culture of ownership, responsiveness, and client excellence

Customer Experience & Market Feedback

  • Act as the regional owner of customer experience and relationship quality
  • Ensure a responsive, human-led engagement model across all client touchpoints
  • Gather and communicate structured market feedback, customer insights, and regional opportunities to the broader business
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve client journeys, engagement, and conversion effectiveness

Requirements

What it takes to succeed:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial, relationship management, business development, or regional leadership role
  • Strong track record of driving revenue growth, AUM growth, or high-value client acquisition
  • Experience working with affluent clients, investors, professional networks, or relationship-led sales environments
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships and referral ecosystems
  • Strong commercial acumen and consultative selling capability
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Existing networks within Cape Town’s affluent or professional communities would be advantageous
  • Financial services, investment, wealth management, or fintech experience preferred
