About the Role
We're looking for a resourceful, self-driven Recruiter based in South Africa to help us identify, attract, and place top talent across a range of roles and industries. You'll work directly with American clients to understand their hiring needs, collaborate closely with them to find the best-fit candidates, and take ownership of closing the deal — from first conversation through signed offer. This is a generalist role, so adaptability and the ability to recruit across functions (admin, marketing, tech, customer support, etc.) are key. No prior recruiting experience is required — we're happy to train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination
- Partner with U.S.-based clients to define role requirements, develop interview scorecards, and align on ideal candidate profiles
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through creative sourcing channels
- Conduct initial phone/video screens to assess candidate fit, communication skills, and cultural alignment
- Own the closing process — guide candidates and clients through final stages to secure placements
- Maintain accurate records in the ATS/CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Greenhouse, or similar)
- Provide a professional, responsive candidate experience throughout the process
- Track and report on key recruiting metrics: time-to-fill, pipeline volume, conversion rates
- Stay current on South African labour market trends and talent availability
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Comfortable working with U.S.-based clients across time zones
- Comfortable working remotely and managing your own schedule
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Eager to learn and coachable — we value attitude and work ethic over experience
Nice to Have
- Experience recruiting for international or U.S.-based companies
- Familiarity with remote staffing models
- Additional language skills (Afrikaans, Zulu, or other South African languages)
- Experience with ATS/CRM tools
