SUMMARY:
Are you a Rebar detailer with strong understanding of reinforced concrete structures, excellent technical drawing capabilities, and hands-on experience in producing accurate and constructible reinforcement detailing. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of structural projects by translating engineering designs into clear, precise, and compliant rebar drawings. POSITION INFO:
Job Description:
- Produce accurate rebar layouts and schedules from design info and drawings provided by others
- Use software like Revit, AutoCAD, or specialized rebar programs to create 2D/3D models and layouts
- Perform accurate material take – offs and estimate total reinforcing steel quantities
- Review rebar layouts and schedules to ensure compliance
- Ensure project deadlines are met by managing time efficiently while maintaining a high standard of work
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally at an engineering firm within the structural division
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Working knowledge and experience with the Rebar scheduling code: SANS 282
- Ability to work in compliance with ISO 9001 QMS System
- Strong proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Driver’s license and own vehicle
Qualification:
- Grade 12
