A Well Established Firearms and Outdoor Client is Seeking a Range Officer to join their team , seeking someone who has experience in Firearms and have Passion for the Outdoor.
Minimum requirements:
Enforcing all firearm safety rules and range regulations
Conducting safety briefings before shooting activities
Monitoring shooters to ensure safe firearm handling
Inspecting firearms and ammunition for safety compliance
Ensuring all shooters use proper protective equipment
Supervising live-fire exercises and range activities
Calling and controlling ceasefires when necessary
Responding to emergencies and accidents immediately
Reporting incidents, injuries, or safety violations
Maintaining range discipline and professional conduct
Assisting with firearm training and coaching where required
Checking licences, permits, and firearm documentation
Controlling access to the shooting range
Ensuring targets are correctly positioned and secured
Inspecting the range area before and after shooting sessions
Keeping accurate range logs and attendance records
Maintaining communication with security and management teams
Ensuring compliance with the South African Police Service firearm regulations and company policies
Assisting with ammunition control and stock recording
Performing basic maintenance checks on range equipment
Educating shooters on safe firearm practices
Managing crowd control during busy range operations
Ensuring emergency equipment and first aid kits are available
Opening and closing the range according to procedures
Firearms Competency Certificate Required
