Responsibilities
- Review civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to verify compliance with standards and requirements
- Conduct regular on-site inspections of construction activities to observe and document workmanship and materials
- Coordinate with testing laboratories to oversee quality control testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials
- Identify quality control issues and work with the project team to develop and implement corrective actions
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of quality control activities and findings
- Provide technical guidance and training to field crews on quality control best practices
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure quality objectives are met within schedule and budget constraints
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Strong working knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and industry regulations
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
