Role Description The Purchasing Buyer is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza, responsible for managing and executing purchasing activities to support construction and infrastructure projects. Day-to-day tasks include sourcing suppliers, requesting and evaluating quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and preparing and processing purchase orders in line with company policies and project requirements. The Buyer monitors inventory levels and delivery schedules, coordinates with project teams and site engineers to ensure timely supply of materials and equipment, and resolves discrepancies related to orders, invoices, or deliveries. The role also involves maintaining accurate purchasing records, analyzing cost data, and contributing to vendor performance evaluations and continuous improvement of purchasing processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Purchasing Processes and Purchasing, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.
- Candidates should possess the ability to create, review, and manage Purchase Orders with attention to accuracy and compliance.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to compare quotations, analyze costs, and support data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with suppliers, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Relevant experience in procurement or purchasing within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of ERP or purchasing systems, basic contract terms, and vendor evaluation methods is preferred.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Giza, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to safety and compliance standards.
