About the Role

We are looking for a well-organised and reliable Purchase Administrator to support the Procurement team with purchase orders, supplier follow-ups, delivery tracking, invoice queries and general purchasing administration.

This role would suit someone with strong communication skills, good attention to detail, and an interest or background in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow up on purchase order confirmations from suppliers.
  • Check purchase order details and query any discrepancies.
  • Track open purchase orders and follow up to ensure suppliers deliver on time and in full.
  • Liaise with suppliers, couriers and internal departments regarding deliveries.
  • Assist with resolving delivery shortages and ensuring credit notes are requested where required.
  • Keep purchase order information, lead times and reorder data updated on the system.
  • Support supplier price file updates and related administration.
  • Assist with invoice queries and ensure issues are followed up timeously.
  • Support the team with product data accuracy and general administration.
  • Build good working relationships with Finance, Operations, Commercial and other internal teams.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Confident working with numbers and basic financial information.
  • Good organisational and follow-up skills.
  • Able to build relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain or administration would be advantageous, but not essential.

Advantageous

  • Exposure to purchase orders, suppliers or invoice queries.
  • Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain processes.
  • Experience working with ERP or purchasing systems.
  • Comfortable working closely with Finance and other departments.
