NCW Staffing is currently seeking a Licensed Psychologists for an assignment at a Correctional Facility in Delano, CA.
NCW Staffing is actively seeking qualified Psychologist for a contract assignment at a California State Correctional Facility in VDelano, CA. This is an excellent opportunity to provide meaningful mental health services within a structured healthcare environment while enjoying a consistent schedule and strong recruiter support.
Position Details
- Pay Rate: $165.00 per hour
- Number of Openings: 1
- Contract Length: 27 weeks (extendable/renewable)
- Estimated Start Date: 4–6 weeks
Available Schedules
- Mon-Thurs 7am-5pm or tue-Fri 7am-5pm
Requirements
- Active Psychologist license/certification required.
- Minimum of 12 months of psychologist experience within the last 3 years.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Active Malpractice Insurance
- Strong English communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a correctional healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning for inmate patients.
- Perform suicide risk assessments and crisis intervention services.
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy.
- Administer, score, and interpret psychological tests.
- Diagnose and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
- Conduct Mental Status Examinations (MSEs).
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and treatment records.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team (IDTT) meetings.
- Consult with healthcare staff and treatment teams on complex cases.
- Provide mental health education and support services.
- Develop therapeutic relationships with inmates and their families/caregivers when appropriate.
- Assist with program development and rehabilitation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with CDCR policies, confidentiality requirements, and mandated reporting laws.
Work Environment
- Provides psychological services to incarcerated individuals in a correctional setting.
- May serve as clinician-of-the-day for emergencies.
- May require walking long distances, climbing stairs, and conducting face-to-face interviews in housing units.
- Responsible for maintaining safety and security standards within the facility.
