A leading organisation is searching for a Project Manager with a strong background in Global Markets to join their team for a 6-12 month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle — from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Deliver technology and business change projects within Global Markets, including trading platforms, risk systems, and process automation.
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints; implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to align deliverables with business goals.
- Track progress against milestones and provide clear, concise reporting to steering committees and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and external regulatory standards (e.g., Basel III, MiFID II, IFRS 9).
- Foster continuous improvement and standardisation of project management practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience managing projects within Global Markets, Investment Banking, or Treasury environments.
- Proven track record in delivering multi-disciplinary projects (system upgrades, regulatory change, product launches).
- Strong knowledge of front-to-back trading processes and financial instruments (FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equities, etc.).
- PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
