Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Manager located in Cairo. The Project Manager will oversee project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring they meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing logistics, inspection, and expediting processes to ensure project efficiency and effectiveness. The Project Manager will be responsible for resolving any project issues, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Description
- Serve as the liaison between Head Office management and the Site, ensuring accurate implementation of Head Office functions within the project.
- Follow up the project employment plan and define team members, fostering a structured and efficient project team.
- Oversee professional development and conduct periodic performance appraisals for team heads.
- Provide necessary training to enhance staff motivation.
- Conduct regular meetings with subordinates to enforce company policies and procedures in project management activities.
- Hold frequent meetings with core function managers to monitor safety, site progress, quality, and cost performance, ensuring alignment with project contracts.
- Conduct site walkthroughs with the site manager to oversee construction performance, focusing on safety, quality, and scheduling.
- Coordinate with the Planning Department to establish the project master schedule.
- Oversee monthly payments, claims settlements, invoices, etc., in collaboration with the Contracts Manager.
- Maintain positive project cash flow by directing and monitoring billings, payables, and budget control activities. Responsible for client/owner correspondences and Company receivables collection.
- Ensure the implementation of project quality and safety measures in accordance with Company strategic objectives and relevant manuals.
- Monitor procurement and material activities, coordinating with the Head Office as necessary.
- Handle all correspondences with the engineer/consultant within project contract boundaries, including joint attendance at periodic progress meetings.
- Ensure proper execution of contracts with the client, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Provide final approval for subcontract agreements related to site activities within authorized limits per company policy.
- Responsible for project closeout reports, ensuring a smooth handover with the client, addressing client satisfaction, and providing the Company with valuable feedback on project experiences and resolutions.
Qualifications
- Project Management and Logistics Management skills
- Experience more than 20 years in the construction field.
- Inspection skills to maintain quality standards
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
