Project Manager (Engineering / Water Projects)

About the Role
We are looking for a driven and experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver engineering and water-related projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful project delivery.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can coordinate across multiple teams, manage contractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage full project lifecycle from initiation to close-out
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Site & Operational Management
- Oversee on-site project activities and ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor progress and address any delays or risks proactively
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings
Financial & Commercial Management
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and reporting
- Approve and monitor project-related expenses
- Assist with project costing, forecasting, and profitability tracking
- Support procurement and contract management processes
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
- Provide regular project updates and reports
- Manage expectations and resolve issues effectively
- Maintain strong client relationships
Risk & Compliance
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements
- Assist with documentation for audits and project close-outs
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records
- Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes, and project updates
- Ensure all project files are complete and compliant
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Project Management, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience managing engineering or construction projects
- Experience in water, wastewater, or infrastructure projects highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools

Pay: R30 000,00 – R40 000,00 per month
