SUMMARY:
Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Cape Town.
They are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage and commission engineering projects within a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to deliver projects efficiently while maintaining quality and cost control.
POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:
- Manage and fully commission engineering projects from planning to handover
- Coordinate effectively between Engineering, Production, and Support teams
- Ensure project objectives are achieved within agreed timelines
- Work under pressure with minimal supervision in a cross-functional team
- Monitor production figures and ensure accurate reporting
- Apply quality, speed, and cost-effective production principles throughout project execution
Requirements:
- Matric with Mathematics
- BEng Mechanical Degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Steel manufacturing experience beneficial
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical machinery
- Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Own reliable transport
