We are currently looking for a Project Director – Maritime to lead a major international project in West Africa.
This role involves full responsibility for the delivery of large-scale maritime works in a demanding and international environment.
Your responsibilities
As Project Director, you will be responsible for the overall execution and performance of the project:
- Lead and oversee all phases of the project (engineering, planning, execution and delivery)
- Ensure project delivery in terms of timeline, budget and technical performance
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (on-site and remote)
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, partners and stakeholders
- Supervise maritime works such as port infrastructure, coastal works, dredging or marine construction
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and project requirements
- Manage contractual and financial aspects of the project
Profile
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in maritime or infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in project leadership roles
- Strong background in international projects, ideally in Africa or similar environments
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Strong leadership, decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to work in complex and multicultural environments
