Title: Programme and Supply Chain Coordinator
Company: UN Volunteers Arab States
Location: El Geneina, Masalit State, Sudan
National UNV Assignment – Sudan
Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) operates in approximately 170 countries, supporting efforts to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities, and strengthen resilience. In Sudan, UNDP plays a central role as a development integrator, aligning interventions with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and national priorities, including governance, peacebuilding, socio‑economic recovery, climate resilience, and access to essential services. Within the current crisis context, UNDP serves as the interim Principal Recipient (PR) for Global Fund HIV, TB, and COVID‑19 Response Mechanism (C19RM) grants, while supporting malaria programmes. Since April 2023, conflict has significantly disrupted health systems, particularly in Darfur and Kordofan, creating severe access constraints and service gaps. To strengthen oversight and ensure continuity of life‑saving interventions, UNDP is expanding its field presence through the recruitment of a Programme and Supply Chain Coordinator based in El‑Geneina, providing regional coordination across Darfur states.
