Position Summary
The Program Associate provides daily operational support to the organization and manages the nonprofit's effectiveness strategy, program operations, communications, grantmaking, and donor and community outreach. This role primarily supports program coordination, communications, and scholar engagement efforts, with primary responsibility for the MentorMe Program and related communications activities.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the MentorMe Program, including scheduling mentorship sessions, sending reminders, tracking attendance, and following up with mentors and mentees.
- Maintain regular communication with mentors and mentees to support engagement, participation, and timely completion of program activities.
- Document mentorship sessions by recording notes, transcribing key discussions where needed, and uploading records to the appropriate program folders.
- Request, compile, and track mentees’ SMART goals, including following up on pending submissions and progress updates.
- Support the planning and coordination of quarterly leadership development sessions, including topic development, slide preparation, scheduling, attendance tracking, and follow-up with absent mentees.
- Maintain MentorMe databases, SMART goals trackers, communications records, and other program documentation.
- Manage Dream Rite’s communications activities, including content planning, basic graphic design, caption writing, social media posting, and engagement tracking.
- Coordinate the quarterly newsletter by gathering program updates, designing the newsletter, and preparing it for publication.
- Collect and develop impact stories, scholar spotlights, testimonials, and alumni achievement updates for publication.
- Prepare MentorMe, communications, and impact reporting updates as required.
- Support organizational events, special projects, and cross-program reporting as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience & Competencies
- A Bachelor’s degree or HND from a recognized institution.
- Strong Diploma holders may also be considered if they demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and program support skills.
- 1 – 3 years of professional work experience required.
- A combination of relevant education and/or work experience will be considered
- Demonstrate initiatives for optimal organizational benefit and outcomes.
- Understanding of and commitment to the nonprofit's mission.
- Proactive work style and ability to receive and act on feedback.
- Resourceful and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of nonprofit management and grantmaking due diligence preferred.
- You must have access to stable power
Salary
NGN 70,000 per month
Job Location
Remote (w/ possible 1 day onsite). Must reside in Lagos, Nigeria
